Frog Systems has created a talented flexible workforce by employing 20 undergraduate students from several universities across Scotland for the summer months.
The students, who represent Glasgow Caledonian, Strathclyde and St Andrew’s universities, will work with Frog from July until they return to their courses in September. Most of the students are studying for IT or technology related degrees so it is hoped that the experience gained during the summer months at Frog will assist them with their future studies.
Phil Worms, CEO, stated: “I am delighted that we have been able to employ our student team over the summer. It has been a real win:win all round. We have gained a very talented and hungry workforce with skills such as data analysis, social media, networks and systems implementation. In return we have offered the team the chance to gain soft skills and an appreciation for the commercial world in which a start up operates, which will assist them with their future careers.” “Hopefully some of the team will remain with us on a part time basis when they return to their universities this fall.”
